Hobbywing Xerun XR10 Pro Stock Spec V4 Sensored Brushless ESC [HWA30112401] (2024)

I was not certain if this ESC was truly capable of powering 13.5 wheeler, however a few gent's overseas advised that this little speedo was fully capable for competitive 13.5 wheeler, thus the only suggested option part to add was a Hobbywing quad capacitor which I did from the get go. Anyhow I will get straight to the good stuff. This super tiny gem of a speedo fully powers my 13.5 wheeler and does so flawlessly. Smooth, strong throttle and top end with insanely strong brakes. Really amazing considering this speedo is so very tiny.
Adding a quad super cap is very helpful and a minimal $10, thus highly worth adding to this speedo. Don't worry about the speedo's tiny size, or the thinner 14g leads as this speedo really has it all. Its 6v bec is truly strong and another indication on the power this little speedo has. If your looking for a tiny speedo, with huge performance, HW's XR10 Pro Stock Spec V4 is a perfa choice.

Fantastic ESC. I have been running this for a few months in my 13.5 4wd buggy, it has tons of adjustability that really helps to dial in the car for every surface. I will now be running it in my new 17.5 2wd buggy. Hobbywing makes a great product! Highly recommended.

Great competitive speed control. Lightweight, and affordable is huge. The instructions are middle of the road. Tekin has better instructions and I still miss Novak. Clearly showing my age. I did purchase the LCD programming card and that is a must track side to make adjustments. I’m happy with my purchase and am going to purchase Hobbywing again. One note is that the fan broke apart on the first run, 13.5 off-road EB410.2. But don’t really need it running 13.5.

This is an amazing little esc! I wouldn't consider using anything else.

I have been using this esc for several years. Like it because of the small footprint and miniscule weight. Also, the program port/fan plug lets you change programming without having to remove plug from the receiver. All around good unit, good support.

This is the best stock esc hands down. If you run stock class the this is the esc you want.

Love this little guy! I am running in my Yokomo YZ-2 DTM2 with a 17.5T motor. I normally run ORCA only and was a little concerned trying something new. I am really happy. Smooth power, very responsive. The space this thing saves is great. The wires come soldered already and are way long enough for any buggy. It also come with a fan that I have not had to use running blinky on 17.%.

easy to program, excellent feel. and a huge weight savings in my 13.5 buggy. dropped it by almost 30 grams.

I have 3 of these units and they all run great. The person that only gave this one star needs to set up his radio.

Super impressed with this esc the wires are not as thick as the xr10 pro but in 17.5 class this speedo feels no different then my pro I would absolutely buy this speedo again

It’s Just a better version of the JustStoc 60a no reason to discontinue the 100a.
This $120 esc can only run 13.5-25.5 not as much value as $99 100a that powers 5.5-25.5
Very sad this 80a has replaced the 100a v3.1

This is a really nice esc, especially for the money, and it shaved weight for 17.5 2wd buggy class. The one star written on this esc is meaningless, they need to figure out how to calibrate their throttle and brake spans. This esc has plenty of brake capacity

I have this little gem in my Tamiya TA07. It took me a while to figure out how to upgrade the software. I also had to program my radio to the esc. First run was a little soft, so I replaced the single capacitor with 4 from another dead esc. That was it, it now has pop and braking is brilliant. No need to go to 12 gauge wires. I am going to order another one to replace my heavy XR10 Pro 160am esc. It's about 25 grams lighter; )

i mostly use thees ESCs in my cars good budget and this model has a remote switch to save space or move the on off/program switch

This 80 amp esc is the go to for stock racing. It has a super small footprint, it’s lightweight, has great braking, and they are fairly durable. The one issue I had was the esc fan breaking multiple times after hard crashes. Can’t wait for a G2 version.

I installed one of these on my 21.5 B6D based street stock oval car. It worked great, for 2 heat races and the main, that I won. Unfortunately, the next race night, it wouldn’t turn on. When I pushed the power button, the ESC fan made a half of a revolution, and that was it. Changed to a known good battery, still nothing. Checked the battery in the car, fully charged. I put in a repair request with Hobbywing, I guess I’ll see how that turns out. Giving 3 stars because when it worked, it was a excellent ESC. Unfortunately, $119 is a bit much for a 3 race ESC.

Not by fault of Amain. The esc smoked out after 5 min. Had to go through hobbywing for warranty. They eventually sent a replacement after investigating and inspection and coming to conclusion it was not my fault. I paid shipping back to hobbywing because most people take the option of a new one at half price. Never got that back. This generation of esc is not what they used to be. I don't know what changed but it is not good. Hobbywing needs better customer service. If one is bad don't try to get out of replacing it just do it.
